Life-size Self Portrait

Apparently, I have to make this giant self portrait again

for my graphic design class exhibition. It just really annoys

me thinking that I have to carry this around New York City

AGAIN. And it also has to be done by next monday! 

My instructor asked me to do this yesterday. What a 

short notice! 

btw, weather was extraordinary today!

Growing

I have a strong feeling that by the middle of the april,

my old hair will be back totally. Thanks to F.A.S.T. shampoo.

I mean, seriously.. considering I cut my bangs by myself a 

couple of times, my hair had grew a lot since last month.

I am just hoping the time to go faster. haha

Digital Photography Class

I have been taking photos of my friends for my digital

photography class because I love them. lol 

As you can see, I also looooooove close ups. 

Cut Copy

Sorry for the late post. For the people who didn't know,

I went to Cut Copy concert last saturday alone. I bought a

ticket couple months ago since their tickets get sold out in

couple weeks. Well, I was kinda excited because this was my 

very first time going to a concert alone, and it was Cut Copy's

concert. Their performances were pretty good. I felt like they

selected a right songs to play, and I also felt they considered

audience's opinion. (they played Lights and Music songs twice!)

Oh, but some of the audience were horrible. Wow, they do not

have any common sense. What a selfish prick! There was a girl

who was practically out of her mind. She was just all over the 

place, bumping into everyone's body. Unfortunately, one of the

bodies happened to be me. So I ended up stepping on her and 

jumping several times with my boots. But other than that, the

concert was really nice!

     

Alphabet H

So this time, for typography class, I have to pick one

alphabet that interests me and make a poster about it.

Of course, I have to put thousands of different information

in one page again and make it look good. I am still working

on it, but it is really difficult to design what my instructor

asked me to do.

Brooklyn Bridge

FINALLY. I went to Brooklyn Bridge yesterday with Jenn. 

I have been willing to go there for the past couple months 

and I got lazy all the time and ended up watching drama. 

Well, it was a nice little trip. It was windy and cold but 

still so much better than spending my afternoon in my bed

doing nothing. I felt like no one actually cross this bridge 

because as far as I got to Manhattan, the less people were 

on the bridge. People who cross this bridge were riding 

bicycle yelling, "Get out of my way!". Well... they were

the ones who were riding bicycle in the middle of the

footpath!  

Thursday Night

So it is thursday night and tomorrow  my spring break

is officially getting over. It is so amazing how times flies.

(especially during break) Well, I guess I have to prepare 

for school again... starting with tons of assignments. Oh,

and most importantly... I have to schedule my classes for

next year! 

Food & Dessert

Yoonbin and Chei took me to the restaurant that I have never 

been in my neighborhood. I did not even know this kind of place

existed! It was on 9th Ave and 14th St... If I am remembering 

the address correctly. I really love the interior of this place. 

For me, it looked like they renovated some kind of old fish

market. The place created a certain mood that other restaurant

do not have. And most importantly, I looooooove their dessert!

I had warm chocolate cake (one in the photo) and it was amazing.

It was not too sweet but sweet enough to satisfy me. Well, guess

I will go there pretty soon again. 

More

 More photos from last night show. I think he (lead singer) was 

really cute. I bet I was not the only one who had that kind of 

thought last night in that showroom. Especially when he said 

"Thanks!" to the audience... it was adorable!  

Ok go

Went to Okgo concert last night spontaneously with Chei and 

Juhee. (check out the last photo!) I did not really have that 

much information about this concert and I know it is difficult 

to get satisfied when you go to a concert like that.... but I am

so glad that I did! Ok go seemed like a super interactive 

and creative band. They introduced different instruments, 

put little cameras on their mikes and show it on a huge screen, 

and had some special events for guests. The concert was really 

inspiring. Well, thanks to Chei and Juhee! Wouldn't have 

known about this event without you guys!

     

Chasing

Last summer, in Barcelona.

Warmth

I almost forgot how warm weather felt like. It feels like

Spring and Autumn is disappearing and Winter and Summer 

is getting longer and longer constantly. Therefore, weather is 

always extremely cold or hot. Nothing between! In person, 

I prefer most of the things to be extreme, but when it comes to 

weather, I hate it. It is really unfortunate that some of the people 

in the future might even forget spring and autumn existed on 

this planet. Anyways, hopefully the weather gets warmer. 

This year, winter is getting way too long. I am sick of wearing

coats!!!!

Oh, one more thing. I went to ICP museum on 43rd St. and Ave. of

America. They have pretty good selection over there. Also, if I go

there on friday between 5pm and 8pm, it is almost free to get in

there since it is donation hours. Just donate like a dollar and enjoy.

Redesigned (four book covers)

 

Since my graphic design class was cancelled, I had some

spare time to work on this project today. Tried to make

them appear like a series so I changed the typeface of 

publisher and some backgrounds. (also designed one 

more cover) Hopefully I do not have to work on this

anymore. 

They are in chronological order btw.

    

Snow

It snowed in my balcony! And this time, it accumulated! 

Usually it gets slushy and dirty really fast so I did not like

it when snowed. But this time it is different! and my class 

got cancelled because of the snow!!!  YES!

 

*Yawn*

Irresistible laziness has dominated me this semester.

Which is not a great news AT ALL. Seriously, I never missed

classes like this before. What if they fail me? I won't have 

any right to complain since I missed their classes. I do not

have any choice from now on. I have to be more decisive. 

School is not really asking me do to what I cannot do. 

I can do better than this. Maybe I should get rid of my

heater and my mattress. 

It is a matter of my mind. I have to be harder on myself.

Have to think about passion that I used to have in my

freshmen year. The time when I used to enjoy art as the

way it is. If I begin thinking like that, art will gladly

greet me like it did before.
